Getting to Toodo

On this page we show you the ways to get to Toodo and how to get to the next destination of your trip.

Lucky for you, Toodo is pretty central in relation to the main travel points in northern Kyrgyzstan. Right in between Bishkek and Issyk-Kul.

Coming from or going to Bishkek


Public Transport

If you are coming from the capital, you will most likely not be able to take a direct bus to our place. Usually there is a stop in Tokmok in between.

The Bishkek East Bus Station is the one for traveling to Tokmok in one of the countless mini busses.

These so called marshrutkas don’t have a fixed time table. Most of the time the bus drivers wait until the bus is reasonably full and off they go.

The bus number for the route to Tokmok is #353. The price is roughly 60 Som. The ride takes approximately 40 minutes.

Going to or coming from Tokmok

Public Transport

Getting from Tokmok to Toodo is pretty straight forward. There are marshrutkas going into the mountains each day and they will get you close to Toodo.

The mini busses are leaving from Tokmok at 11:15 a.m., 2:10 p.m. and 5 p.m. The busses might leave earlier or later if they are full (already). So make sure to be there early/on time.

The bus number for the route to Toodo is #383.

To go from Toodo to Tokmok, you can take the mini bus leaving at 12:25 p.m., 3:20 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Again, the marshrutkas might leave a bit earlier or later than scheduled if full.


Taxi

If you are looking for a quicker and more comfortable ride, we are happy to organize a taxi for you. The driver will be able to pick you up around the city and drop you off at Toodo.

Coming from or going to Burana

Public Transport

Burana is close to Tokmok and so you either take a bus into the city and continue on from there or you have a taxi pick you up and bring you to Toodo directly. The marshrutkas are running frequently between Burana and Tokmok’s bus station.

If you are looking for a taxi to pick you up at Burana, especially when coming from Bishkek or somewhere else, please contact us. We will arrange something comfy for you!

Coming from or going to Issyk-Kul

The cheapest and easiest way to get from any of the places spread around the beautiful Issyk-Kul to Toodo is again by bus or taxi. Both means of transportation function the same way on this route. Since there are not many fixed pick-up places, you can basically flag down a marshrutka from the road side.

Public Transport

There are three bus stations around the lake, situated on the northern side of the lake. To make your journey from Issyk-Kul to Toodo as comfortable as possible, please let us know when you need a ride from a place on the southern shore to Tokmok and Toodo.

Taxi

Just as for a taxi or private driver ride, we will gladly organize the ride for you. The route will be split in two: one part going to Tokmok and the second going from Tokmok to Toodo.
